Question: Speedometer drive?

Additional details:

Can the ISIS measure pulse frequencies, say from an inductive pick-up in the drivetrain? If yes, can it then drive the stepper motor output at a set speed based the computed frequency? It would be great to have a stepper turn my original mechanical speedometer based on the input from my modern drivetrain without having to use another dedicated controller for this purpose.

mweber - Currently the ISIS system is not able to do the frequency to voltage conversion you are looking for. National Semiconductor makes the LM2907/LM2917 series of devices that does frequency to voltage conversion with minimal external components.
