Looking forward to building your street rod, custom truck or race vehicle, but dreading building an auto wiring harness? The ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System solves these problems and more by replacing an auto wiring harness with modular microprocessor-controlled modules that handle most any auto electrical system.
This unique auto electrical system replaces the long runs of wires all the way from the switch and fuse box to each individual accessory. At the heart of the ISIS auto electrical system is the MASTERCELL™ Input Unit, which provides the system’s intelligence. Switches for controlling the auto electrical system are wired to the MASTERCELL unit, which then sends instructions to POWERCELL™ Control Units via a single data cable. The POWERCELL units, in turn, distribute power to the intended component.
For a typical auto electrical system, one POWERCELL Control Unit would be located to serve up 10 circuits such as the forward lights, ignition, starter solenoid, and accessories like the sound system. A second POWERCELL could control the rear lights, fuel pump, and trunk latch. Five POWERCELL units can connect to a single MASTERCELL unit, for 50 total circuits in an auto electrical system design. Optional modules provide remote control of the auto electrical system via a hand-held touch screen or a remote-control key fob. The MASTERCELL can be custom programmed for effects like light dimming. Any connection issues are simple to troubleshoot with ISIS.
