How Does It Work?

It’s Solid State and State of the Art In One Package

The ISIS™ Intelligent Multiplex System is simply that. A system of multiplexers in the form of the MASTERCELL™ input unit and demultiplexers in the form of the POWERCELL™ power control units connected via a data cable.  Together, the MASTERCELL and POWERCELL units take signal inputs from multiple sources and use them to control power distribution around the vehicle helping to simplify and conserve wiring.

What really sets the ISIS system apart from the competition is its ability to be configured to meet your needs.  Any of the outputs can be assigned a standard node personality and program to perform any function within your car.  This is made possible by using a microprocessor in the MASTERCELL input unit, to allow the system to be adapted according the end-user’s needs.  The diagram below shows a functional representation of how the system takes an input signal and converts it into a functional output control.

The inputs (switches, buttons, keypads, sensors etc.) for electric accessories connect to the MASTERCELL input unit. A data cable is used to transfer control commands from the MASTERCELL input unit to a POWERCELL control unit.  The POWERCELL control unit is used to provide circuit protection and distribute power to the car’s various electrically controlled systems.  Each MASTERCELL input unit can manage up to 5 POWERCELL control units via a CANBUS connection, allowing the system to manage up to 50 circuits.  Should you need more control, simply purchase additional MASTERCELL and POWERCELL control units to add another 50 circuits.
