Welcome to ISIS Power. We created this page to give you a place to quickly learn what ISIS is, how it can help you wire your car and the benefits that it can offer to you. Whether you are restoring a basic British roadster to cruise the countryside or building a Pro-Touring monster to dominate at the track, the ISIS Intelligent Multiplex System is the best alternative for you to use to wire your car. We know that most guys have no issues turning a wrench, welding and painting. All of these things make sense because you can see what is going on. Even the smartest guys get a little nervous when it comes to things electrical. We have assembled a team of car fanatics, electrical engineers and professionals from the automotive OEM world to create a powerful electrical system that can be used to wire a car with very little experience.
ISIS turns electrical things on and off. These functions include:
Our system is universal. Customers have installed ISIS into everything from hot rods & street rods to kit cars & race cars, muscle & pro-touring to off-road trucks. If you're wiring a vehicle that runs on 12-volts DC and you need to turn electrical functions on and off, ISIS is the system for you. Fords, Chevys, MOPAR, British to exotics... ISIS can replace the original wiring harness with a high-tech electrical system.
You could use a traditional wiring harness to wire your car, but boxes full of fuses and relays haven't changed since the Model T. ISIS replaces the traditional wiring harness with the same technology that the OEMs use for new cars. We just put it in a package that anyone can install.
Here's the difference...
Traditional wiring harnesses rely on a central fuse and relay box in the car. This means that you have wires running from all of the switches to this box, battery power running to this box and large gauge powered wires running from the box to all of the switched functions in the car. If this is under the driver's A-pillar, you have snakes of wire running from that location to every corner of the car. The other limitation of a traditional wiring harness is that you have a relay controlling each function. A relay can turn things on and off, that's it. It can be no smarter than that.
ISIS uses something called multiplexing to completely change the way that you wire your restoration, kit-car, street rod or race car. Instead of one central fuse & relay box, we break the power distribution system up into separate modules. This allows you to put the power where you need it in the car. We use the same basic technology as the big OEM's to control the switched functions in your car. The difference is that we digest this down to simple modules that can anyone can install in their car.
Here's a good video that talks through what multiplexing is and how ISIS can let you use it to make your car's electrical system better.
This video shows a very basic demonstration of ISIS, showing off what it can do for you.
We have two basic building blocks in our system: The MASTERCELL and the POWERCELL. Think of the MASTERCELL as the brain and the POWERCELL as the muscle. Switches connect to the MASTERCELL. The actual switching happens at the POWERCELL. You put the MASTERCELL up near your switches, in most cases behind the dash. You put the POWERCELLs where you need to turn things on and off, usually one under the hood and one in the trunk. The only thing that you have running between these cells is a simple data cable that is less than 1/4" in diameter. Compare that to the bundles of wires that can top 1" with a traditional wiring harness.
This link will take you to a video that describes the functions of the MASTERCELL.

Imagine this... you have a POWERCELL in your trunk. The longest run of wire that you have is from one corner of the trunk to the tail light in the opposite corner. That is very easy to install, troubleshoot and make disappear. Compare that to a run of wire that needs to go from a central fuse & relay box, through the interior, under the carpeting to that same tail light. That's a big difference.
As we mentioned above, a traditional wiring harness can be as sophisticated as a relay and a switch. It can turn things on and off. ISIS brings a tremendous amount of processing power to your car. This lets you do things that you can't do with anything else in the market. Here's a sample list of what you can do with your car to make is stand out against all of the others on the road.
We originally developed ISIS to serve the heavy-duty, harsh-duty vehicle markets. About half of our business covers applications like recreational vehicles, first-responder vehicles, limousines and military trucks. It is designed and tested to stand up the rigors of these applications.
