PERSONALITY - RATIOMETRIC PULSE WIDTH MODULATION

PERSONALITY NAME: RATIOMETRIC PWM (Pulse Width Modulation)
OUTPUT FOLLOWS STATE OF INPUT DEVICE: YES/RATIOMETRIC
APPLICABLE PERSONALITY MODIFIERS: NONE
SWITCH DEBOUNCE TIME: Does Not Apply -  input signal is continuously variable.

Typical Input Switch Type
Potentiometer configured as a center tapped voltage divider, voltage out sensor (temperature, position). Sensor must supply a maximum of 5 VDC to be used with the MASTERCELL™ input unit.

Personality Description
The PWM personality is used to control the brightness of a lamp or the speed of a motor. You could, for example, configure an Input node to the MASTERCELL™ Input Unit to illuminate your headlights at 50% brightness to create daytime driving lights. “Ratiometric PWM” can be dynamically adjusted from one to 99% ON/OFF ratio.

NOTE: Of the 50 possible inputs on a MASTERCELL™ Input Unit, two of the inputs can be configured as a ratiometric voltage input and used to control the “Ratiometric PWM” outputs. Of the ten possible outputs on a POWERCELL™ Control Unit, two of the eight outputs can be configured as a “Ratiometric PWM”  output. The two ratiometric voltage input nodes on a MASTERCELL™ Input Unit can be used for general sensor input to control any output node in an ISIS™ Intelligent Multiplex System™. The two ratiometric inputs are fully protected against static discharge and have an input impedance of 10 kOhms.
