Personality Description
This personality is designed to operate a specific type of motor called a “stepper motor” and within that class of motor a configuration commonly termed “bi-polar” which describes how the four independent motor windings are configured within the motor. The personality can manage full stepping and fractional stepping also known as “micro-stepping”. This type of control allows for very precise movements of the motors rotor.

NOTE: This personality supports the use of an optical shaft encoder with quadrature output. Depending on the application, an inMOTION™ power control unit may be required. Please contact ISIS™ Intelligent Multiplex System™ technical support for more information.
